On the corner of Wisconsin and Cordell sits the disarmingly shabby Golden House. It's one of three locations in MD and VA, and they offer carry-out and delivery only. Delivery is free within 3 miles and with a $10 minimum. They promise delivery within 45 minutes, or you can pick it up in 15, which is what we like to do.
Parking is easy and the staff is about as friendly as they can be in the 2-3 minutes it takes to get your food. You can view their menu online, where you can also get coupons — for eggrolls, fried rice or even free entrees, depending on how much you're willing to spend.
The menu is standard, with appetizers ranging from $1.00 (1 Vegetable Roll) to $4.95 (10 Fantail Shrimp, 4 Barbecued Spareribs, or 4 Terimp Beef), and entrees from $5-$10 (many dishes come in two sizes). You can also get combination platters for ~$5 at lunch and ~$8 at dinner.
Their Moo Shi Vegetables, a.k.a.Moo Shu, is great (though the pancakes are toast after an hour), and everything else we've had has been passable to good, including Chicken with Broccoli, Sweet & Sour, Egg Foo Young, Fried Rice and Lo Mein. Yum! The only other dinner this easy in the area is Milena's Pizza at Safeway ($6.99 Club Price!).

The Golden Palace is the best! They always comp me when I'm a few cents short of $20 so I can get the chicken wings.

I love it that they have free parking, which is notoriously challenging all around Bethesda. I like it when I can call up on my evening commute home to Bethesda, have the order ready, pull right in, get the goods, and homebound with great Chinese food.
By the way, if I can give a little link tip, found out about this little dot-com startup called BackFence.com with local info. Hope they succeed, like you're helping to bring a local voice to Bethesda! Keep up the great work..

I've seen BackFence. It looks incredibly useful. And I couldn't agree more with you on the parking. It's a great convenience.
Golden Palace is also good, it's true, but Golden House is a little more convenient for us.
